The holiday season really kicks off with Thanksgiving here in the United States. Whether baking, cooking, or hosting for family and close friends or volunteering your time at a local food bank, community center, or mission--The Bronze Monkey believes you should do what makes you happy. Spread blessings, love, and cheer on to each person you touch from today forward. Do one kind thing each week. Small steps in the right direction ensure we never lose sight of the true meaning of the holidays.
As I was chatting with some friends the other day, we each recognized that family traditions vary, as well as, favorite foods or dishes that we expect to be present at our seasonal gatherings. It reminded me that each family is unique and special. This diversity brings depth and meaning to our existence, challenging each of us to explore our cultural differences, to bring positivity to our everyday encounters, and to project patience and tolerance in all that we face.
Together, we make a difference---The Bronze Monkey challenges you to create one new family tradition this holiday season or talk about the traditions already in place and celebrate them. Tell the story over hot cocoa, eggnog, or apple cider. Pass your traditions on to the younger generations within your families. Bring back the old family values that you were raised to uphold.
Make memories that count. Be filled with hope, be blessed, be happy.
